Announcing Special edition Front-end DevClub

Some updates about Special edition Front-end DevClub at 30th of October which is organised in collaboration with C.T.Co:
1) Thanks to C.T.Co we will have lottery and prize will be great and very useful device for Web Developers and Designers from DELL
2) Registration is OPEN but hurry up, because not so many places have left. If you will find that there are no more tickets, please register in Waitlist to help us understand how big is interest and we promise to raffle some extra tickets
3) Unfortunately it seems that we will not have video filming this time, therefore – hurry up, register you ticket and come to event

 

In collaboration with C.T.Co we organise Special edition Front-end DevClub at 30th of October 2014.

It will be special because:

1) we have gathered 5 good speakers with talks related to Front-end
2) we will start event already at 14:00 at Microsoft office (Zaļā iela 1) – you can treat it as mini conference and ask your managers for free part of day

Agenda of the event:

  • Roberts Haritonovs from OK.ru will give a talk on current state of Front-end automation tools for web performance optimisation, testing and development. You will hear everything you must know about modern automation tools with low-level entry barrier.

    Robert Haritonov works as a Head of Front-End Development Group at OK.ru (Top 10 World Social Network), and specialises on front-end standards and development processes. Currently Robert is managing front-end developers team and coordinates technical improvements for an efficient workflow. He also has created MCSS methodology and SourceJS front-end documentation engine..
     

  • Mikhail Larchanka from EPAM Mobile Competency Center will talk about Yeoman – bulletproof workflow for your project.
    Talk will describe amazing tool that allows easy organize web-developer’s workflow. Some examples will be shared and own experience will be shown.

  • Dmitry Balabka from Intechsystems will share about BEM Front-End Methodology.
    My talk will be focused to BEM Methodology and how it can be used without BEM-tools. I will share knowledge that have been obtained during BEM integration into our company.

  • Vasily Popov from C.T.Co will talk about Usability, Usability Testing, Prototyping and Thinking Like a User.
    This session is about users. About wonderful, crazy and often stupid users. It's not a technical session, but it's essential for every developer worth his salt to really understand users, to be able to think like a user. Not as easy as it might seem. And what's even more important is to try validating your new UI concepts before writing a single line of code.
