Hi!
Using AI to help individual developers write code faster is one thing. Scaling AI across engineering teams and entire organizations is another.
At our next DevClub.lv, we’ll look at how three very different companies are moving beyond individual AI tools – introducing AI across hundreds of engineers and client environments, building structured agentic development workflows, and rethinking what software engineering looks like when code itself becomes cheap to produce.
You are welcome to AI at Scale focused event on Thursday, September 24, 18:30, at C.T.Co office– Meistaru iela 33, Valdlauci, Kekavas parish, Kekavas district.
Agenda for “AI at Scale focused” 158th DevClub.lv
- Antons Mislevics from C.T.Co will give a talk on “Our Journey in Transforming Software Development Through AI-Augmented Practices”.
Vibe-coding a quick proof of concept or using AI tools to build software from scratch is one thing. Introducing AI into teams that develop enterprise software for large insurance and financial organizations is another.
In this session, we will share how we are approaching this transformation at CTC: where we started, where we are today, and what we have learned along the way.

Antons Mislevics is a Head of AI / Machine Learning at C.T.Co. Before joining C.T.Co he spent 10 years working as a technical consultant at Microsoft Consulting Services. He had participated in various projects of different scale and complexity in over 15 countries, designing solution architectures and supporting developers. Antons holds a PhD degree in Engineering of Computer Systems and is a regular speaker at conferences and community events. - Oļegs Ganzins from Atea will give a talk “Beyond Coding Assistants”.
Helping one developer write code faster with AI is one thing. Transforming software development in a company with more than 8,000 employees across seven countries is another. At Atea Digital Services, we are driving that transformation. We started with coding assistants, then built a structured agentic workflow that takes work from task definition through technical discovery, planning, implementation, and review. Now, we are taking ownership of more of the agent harness and evolving the workflow into a broader engineering platform.
In this session, I’ll share the story of that journey: what we built, what we learned, and where we are going next. It is a story about moving from tools that help individual developers to a controlled, measurable platform that can transform how Atea builds software at enterprise scale.

LemFi moves money for over 2 million customers across five continents, with seven financial licences and more in flight — built by an engineering team roughly ten times smaller than our competitors’. Leverage isn’t a strategy for us, it’s the only way the maths works. A year ago we made a bet: application code is now a commodity. Our moat is the product, the licences and the rails, not the source. So we stopped guarding code like treasure and optimised for speed. Then we tested it on ourselves — a full rewrite of our app, four years of accumulated work, delivered in three months. Across delivery metrics we’re seeing roughly 4x. I’ll expose the real numbers with baselines and definitions, first shown at this event. The bet decides everything else. It’s why coding runs on Anthropic’s infrastructure while a sovereign AWS setup handles operational AI, where customer data genuinely cannot leave. It’s why we standardise on Claude, and why the real money went into skills, plugins and MCP connectors that make our internal systems legible to a model. Then what breaks and reforms: code review, testing, architecture, documentation, onboarding, operations.
We’re still shipping this, so I’ll close on what we’ve committed to — autonomous coding agents in production, and engineers who work as builders rather than authors.
