Six years in a row, event “Nike Riga Run” takes a place in Mežaparks, where thousands of enthusiasts and professionals comes together to train for the final marathon. Trainings lasts all summer where everyone can participate in different disciplines, for instance, running (5km and 10km distance), Nordic walking, Functional training outdoors, rollerskating. Since year 2015, working in Tieto office, in Riga. Today is a User Interface designer, when daly basis consists of different challenging and exiting projects and every single part of them is made for a valuable user interface experience with a nice design and functionality in front.
- Vasiliy Popov from C.T.Co will try to find the answer to the question: Is UX a science or just an opinion?
If you spend more than 15 minutes on Google researching UX you will probably find something of the following: “15 (20, 50, 500) best practices for your mobile app (website, product)”, “Best UX trends in 2016 (2017, 2018)” and “How we changed this small button and conversion increased 10 times”. Most UX materials online are practical applications of interface elements that everyone copies from each other in the search for the best modern day UX. There’s very little research to be found. You can find it, but there won’t be much to pick from, which suggests that this monstrosity everyone calls UX these days is mostly based on opinions of individuals than on real science. Or is it?
